Meet TILLY, MAXIMUS & FAOLA – April’s “Buddies of the Month”!
Tilly is an affectionate, bossy, blue-eyed Ragdoll with the confidence of a supermodel and the entitlement of a princess. 16 years ago, she was found on the street as a stray along with her sister, whom she promptly rejected at 4 months of age. If she had her preference, she would live in a household with only a single animal (herself), a single person, her own mountain of food, and an excessive number of sunny cat beds. Since we haven’t fulfilled all of her wishes, she struts around with indignation until a sudden case of the “zoomies” sees her tear around the house like a 1 year old.
Against Tilly’s wishes, Maximus was a later addition to the household when he was adopted from a shelter near Bend, Oregon. Maximus is a big, pliable, loving, street smart guy who will happily cuddle for hours and loves belly rubs, but will go to any length to steal Tilly’s food. We call him “The Don” Catso Fat, and many other thick nicknames that don’t bother him in the least. His huge eyes and luxurious thick fur make him very handsome, but he doesn’t seek anyone’s approval.
Faola (pronounced “fay-la”) was the latest and largest addition to our home. She is an intelligent and loyal King Shepherd who is conflict-averse despite her 90 pound size. Nearly 10 years old, she is slowing down from her previous athletic days of half-marathons, backpacking, and ball-chases at Pritchard Park but she will never miss an opportunity for a forest hike. She adores children, tries to keep everyone together at all times, and diffuses family arguments. She is also highly trained, very vocal, and speaks fluent Wookie. The people in our family all agree that she’s the very best among us.
Thank you longtime PAWSBINK volunteers, Cuba & Anna Flowers!!

Providing a Safety Net
By providing Veterinary Financial Assistance, Senior Support and a Pet Food Bank, PAWSBINK provides the resources needed to keep cherished pets at home. Sometimes being able to have a pet in your life, and needing to surrender that beloved companion to a shelter, can be a very close call for a family that is suddenly living on the brink. Pet retention programs like these take the pressure off overcrowded shelters and keep families, and their beloved pets, together.
Proving There's No Place Like Home
Whether through our innovative PALS Senior Placement Program, or the highly-regarded Adoption Program that rescues at-risk cats and kittens from high-kill shelter areas, PAWSBINK is working every day to nurture and sustain the bond of companionship between pets and their people.
Support Compassionate Communities
From our low-income community support programs, to complementary cat boarding for those facing a life crisis, and companionship for seniors who otherwise could not afford a pet, PAWSBINK is there for the most vulnerable in our community – thanks to the support we receive from so many like-minded individuals right here at home. Thank you for your gift!
